I'm almost halfway through, (Jan 5/12) and if something doesn't start happening.....I'm really not into whiners who can't figure out who they love! My sister said it was good so I'm hoping it gets better! I will let you know! This is her debut novel (1986).....Jan 9, will finish this tonight, and kinda glad.....This didn't really do a thing for me......the historical parts were good, but I didn't like the modern day characters at all....they were too messed up, (and not very smart, I would say!)

A book about multiple lives that moves between the past and the present. I loved the historical storyline but I found the characters in the present time annoying and their choices frustrating, especially the protagonist.
