There’s always a book or author that most of us can rely on as a fast airplane-read or when we’re too overwhelmed or tired to deal with a complex or deep meaning theme. Since I hadn’t read this Agatha twist at the end because it was written during the 1950s Cold War period it included a touch of political intrigue including, who-can-you-trust and how loyal are you? Fun read.

Christie often mentions the New World Order in her books, which seems less improbable all the time, what with Agenda 21 and all.

How is this possible? A Christie title that I hadn’t read before? More of a thriller than a mystery, this book managed to be entertaining due to a very plucky protagonist, a murder, a great setting, and a burgeoning romance (or two). Despite all of this, sometimes I just couldn’t suspend my disbelief due to a very improbable plot.
