Honestly I don't know what is all the hype about Patterson. Everyone tells me how he is the greatest writer in America currently. This is BS. To be honest I haven't read a book this bad in a while. Ive read some other Patterson and they were okay if you could get past the sheer awful writing. I have a feeling that Patterson has ghost writers though. Seriously, how many books can a man publish in one year?! My first complain for not just "Witch & Wizard" but all of his books is the terrible character development. I personally like books that have good stories and characters. Also, I have five siblings all of which are younger than me (ages ranging from 2 to 13) and they all write better than Patterson! Do me a favor and do not pick up any book from this author no matter how much you want to.
Hey, I've just noticed that many people are saying that they dislike the humor in this book. The entire book is highly sarcastic, and, if you don't like sarcasm, you probably won't like it. I am a fan of sarcasm. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'll explain: Ron Weasley is EXTREMELY sarcastic, for those of you that have read Harry Potter. This is not adolescent humor, as some of you are saying. Just something for you to bear in mind in the future
This book reads like an outline. Very skimpy with details even for a tween book.
Amazing book. I like the plot of the story.
I have read a couple of James Patterson's adult books and some teen ones and they were wonderful, but this book was a total let down. It was a rip off of Harry Potter with terrible character and story development. I had a hard time caring about the main characters and the comedy did not mesh well with the story. Ugh. I will pass on the rest of this series. Sorry JP and unknown writer.
This is one of my favorite YA books of all time. Patterson kept me at edge with this fantasy adventure novel that made me excited. I recommend this book to anyone who likes the Maximum Ride series and is older then 10.
First book in the set. Read this in one sitting. James Pattersons YA novels are great for everyone. Packed with action and a fast moving story that still has heart. Male or female, young or old this one is good stuff. Will be reading the rest in the series.
Awesome story-line, and Svetlana Chmakova's( that's actually how you spell her name)artwork is amazing. Check out some of her books, like the Nightschool series.
really good book!
