A cute but odd alphabet book that fills its pages with adorable illustrations and some rather strange sentences about the lives each animal lives. What's odd, though, is that none of these statements are true or even informative. For example, one page features a dragon wiping away a tear as it reads a book with the words "Dd: Dragons cry at happy endings" written on the next page. So, ultimately, I'm not sure what this book is trying to actually accomplish, apart from being really cute and a bit silly.

A fun alphabet book that doesn't take itself too seriously. Full of imaginative and thoughtful "facts" about animals from alligators to zebras, each with a charming illustration. But don't just read it from cover to cover! Spend some time revisiting the pages, tracing the letters in upper and lower case, talking about the illustrations, discussing whether you think each fact is true or not, maybe even making up your own animal facts. Definitely an ABC book that deserves multiple reads!
